Oregon For Pinot Lovers
May is Oregon Wine Month making it the perfect time to delve into this incredible, and sometimes overlooked, wine region. The Willamette Valley in Oregon is my number one recommendation for a wine tasting trip due to its accessibility (a quick 45 minute drive from Portland), stunning natural beauty and the laid back down to earth nature of the wineries. If you’re unable to make it out to Oregon this year, book a tasting with me featuring their cool climate varietals including stellar Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and sparkling.
BOOK A BLIND TASTING
Sit down for a sommelier-led tasting of two flights (3 whites and 3 reds) and learn the basics of blind tasting for the classic grape varieties while we talk about the wines, regions, how to best pair them with food, where to shop, etc. It’s fun, interactive, and even includes a little friendly competition as everyone tries to guess the varietal in their glass. Don’t worry, there’s a cheat sheet and a sommelier to help you all along the way!
Starting at $450 for up to 10 guests, additional guests 40 per person.
